BSB20107 Certificate II in Business
Cost for full course: $445 ($115 conc) ACFE funded (code B02)

Classes are held during school hours.

This qualification is aimed at those who wish to develop skills for work in an office environment.  The course is suitable for anyone training or re-training for the workforce and will equip students with the essential skills, knowledge and attributes required to work in a range of clerical and general administrative positions.  In particular skills in computing will be developed to a level appropriate for work in a modern business organization.  Cost includes amenities fee of $10 per unit. 
Pre-requisite: Access to computer for assessment and homework. 
Students have the option of adding another 2 units to complete their Certificate I in Information Technology.  (extra cost is $95 or $20 concession)

We have developed a schedule which allows students to work on one, two or three qualifications at the same time.  You can save time and money completing units common to these qualifications and gain 2 or 3 qualifications.  By successfully completing all assessment tasks and homework, you will be credited with units from both Information Technology and Business studies.

These qualifications are recognised standards for job seekers in the office environment.  These courses are the ideal way of becoming accredited in computer usage to successfully operate the software most commonly used in business today.  The courses are suitable for anyone training or re-training for the workforce and will equip students with the essential skills, knowledge and attributes required to work in a range of clerical and general administrative positions.  Skills in computing will be developed to a level appropriate for work in a modern business organization.

To be eligible you must apply for the multiple qualifications at the time of enrolment.  Cost includes amenities fee of $10 per unit.  Students are required to purchase a manual for $66 (inc. GST). Prerequisite: Access to computer for assessment and homework.   Limited places, please apply early.

TAA40104 Certificate IV in Training & Assessment
Cost: $1,180 ($980 concession)
This nationally recognized training has been designed to provide learners with a range of competencies needed to deliver training, facilitate learning and conduct competency-based assessment within their area of expertise.  To be awarded the qualification the learner must be assessed as competent in all 14 units. 
Prerequisite: access to internet for assessment and communication with trainer.  Cost includes student resources.  Please book early for full course in 2009.

Upgrade to Certificate IV in Training & Assessment  to TAA40104
$590 evening sessions available
If you have BSZ40198 Certificate IV in Assessment & Workplace Training this upgrade option is for you.  You will be required to attend class for the units that you do not currently hold with your previous qualification.  Prerequisites: Cert IV BSZ40198 & access to internet for assessment and communication with trainer.

Aged Care:

 

CHC30102 Certificate III in Aged Care
expressions of interest now being taken

This qualification is suitable for people new to the Aged Care sector or for existing workers who wish to complete their qualification. 

This qualification covers workers who work primarily in residential facilities under direct supervision or regular supervision within clearly defined organisational guidelines and service plans.  These workers carry out activities related to the maintenance of an individual’s personal care and/or other activities of living.   Upon successful completion of this qualification you will be able to work as a carer (PCA) in Aged Care.

Clean Food - Hygiene & Safety Program
$133 ($110 conc) ACFE funded
4 accredited units in health, safety and hygiene in the hospitality and tourism industries.  Gain the skills and knowledge required to follow key procedures in hygiene, cleaning, health, safety and security.  The program is particularly relevant to staff working in kitchens, housekeeping, tour operations, food and beverage.  Students have the option of completing the supervisor level in food safety, which leads to the implementation of a food safety plan.  THHGHS01B: Follow workplace hygiene procedures, THHGHS02B: Clean Premises and equipment, THHCOR03B: Follow health safety and security procedures, THHBCC11B: Implement food safety procedures.  Cost includes $15 amenities fee and $10 per unit for materials.

Cost: $80
A must for those preparing, handling or serving food.  This level 1 unit in Follow workplace hygiene proceduresTHHGHS01B: Cost includes $5 amenities fee and $30 materials fee.

Daytime classes - Beginners to Intermediate levels.
Improve and develop communication and language skills, for everyday life or the workplace, with lessons in reading, writing, speaking and listening.  An introduction to basic computer and internet work provides opportunities for intermediate level students to develop communication skills through the use of computer technology.  Our classes cater to the individual needs of people from English or Non-English speaking backgrounds.  Students may join in at any time if there are places available.  Please make a time to speak to the program workers, during office hours, to arrange a class to suit your needs.  Our Language, Literacy and Communication classes are funded by Adult, Community and Further Education and include a general services fee of $65per year.

Cost for full year is: $180 or $120 concession

If you wish to pay your fees off at the start of each term, please speak to our staff.

     

Evening classes

 

English language classes include the use of computers and internet to develop language and communication skills.  Our classes cater to the individual needs of people from English or non-English speaking backgrounds.  Please make a time to speak to staff at reception to arrange an interview with our teacher.

Longbeach PLACE "Serves You Right" Community Volunteer Group make it easy.  Why not join our friendly, supportive group to receive training, connect with your community, make a meaningful contribution and become a valued team member.

Develop your own personal skills by helping others.  Facilitator led training will focus on understanding the valuable role of the volunteer within an organisation and developing skills in team-work, communication, goal setting, time management, creative thinking and problem solving.  The program gives participants the opportunity of gaining increased confidence and developing leadership skills by working on projects as part of a team.
