Study two - three days per week for 22 weeks, starting 15th July.
Classes are held during school hours.
This qualification is aimed at those who wish to develop skills for work
in an office environment. The course is suitable for anyone training
or re-training for the workforce and will equip students with the
essential skills, knowledge and attributes required to work in a range of
clerical and general administrative positions. In particular skills
in computing will be developed to a level appropriate for work in a modern
business organization. Cost includes amenities fee of $25 per unit
block.
Pre-requisite: Access to computer for assessment and homework.
Students have the option of adding another 2 units to complete their
Certificate I in Information Technology. (NO EXTRA COST for those
with a recognised concession card or $95 non-concession)

We have developed a schedule which allows
students to work on one, two or three qualifications at the same time.
You can save time and money completing units common to these
qualifications and gain 2 or 3 qualifications. By successfully completing
all assessment tasks and homework, you will be credited with units from
both Information Technology and Business studies.
These qualifications
are recognised standards for job seekers in the office environment. These
courses are the ideal way of becoming accredited in computer usage to
successfully operate the software most commonly used in business today.
The courses are suitable for anyone training or re-training for the
workforce and will equip students with the essential skills, knowledge and
attributes required to work in a range of clerical and general
administrative positions. Skills in computing will be developed to a
level appropriate for work in a modern business organization.
To be eligible you must apply for the
multiple qualifications at the time of enrolment. Cost includes amenities
fee of $25 per unit block. Students are required to purchase a manual for $66
(inc. GST). Prerequisite: Access to computer for assessment and
homework. Limited places, please apply early.

TAA40104 Certificate IV in Training & Assessment
Cost: $1,230 Conc (V01)
This nationally recognized training has been designed to
provide learners with a range of competencies needed to deliver training,
facilitate learning and conduct competency-based assessment within their
area of expertise. To be awarded the qualification the learner must be
assessed as competent in all 14 units.
Prerequisite: access to internet for assessment and communication with
trainer. Cost includes student resources.

Upgrade
from BSZ40198 to TAA40104
$590 (code V02)
Available for those already working in VET.
You will be required to complete a series of assessment tasks that relate
to your own workplace. Depending on your current work role,
you may need to attend several workshops to gain the knowledge you need to
upgrade to TAA40104.
RPL
If you wish to apply
for RPL your first step is to make an appointment with Skills Stores on
1300 135 008.
Skills
Stores is a Victorian Government
funded service that offers Victorians a free service to have their skills
and experienced formally recognised. A Skills Store consultant will help
you identify the skills you already have and explain to you how these
skills can be assessed against nationally accredited qualifications.
You will then be given a letter of referral to Longbeach PLACE to have
your skills formally assessed. Skills Stores can provide you with a
voucher of $250 towards the RPL process. For more information about

Daytime classes - Beginners to Intermediate
levels.
Improve and develop communication and language skills,
for everyday life or the workplace, with lessons in reading,
writing, speaking and listening.
An introduction to basic computer and internet work provides
opportunities for intermediate level students to develop communication skills through the use of
computer technology. Our
classes cater to the individual needs of people from English or
Non-English speaking backgrounds.
Students may join in at any time if there are places
available.
Please
ask our friendly staff to make a time for you to see the teacher. the
teacher will then let you know which class is suitable for your level.

Evening classes
|

English language
classes include the use of computers and internet to develop language and
communication skills. Our classes cater to the individual needs of people

class per week.
If you wish to pay your fees off at the
start of each term, please speak to our staff.
Our Language, Literacy and Communication classes are funded
by Adult, Community and Further Education and include a general
services fee of $70 per year to cover class notes and resources.

CGEA:

Certificate in General Education
for Adults
(CGEA) Levels 2 & 3
Cost: $360 ($120 conc) ACFE funded, cost includes amenities
and materials fee.
(If you are not a permanent Australian resident the fee for service cost is
$2,800)
The CGEA is for those who have not
completed a secondary education and want a learning pathway to further study
or employment. If you have left secondary college before completing Year
10, the Certificate of General Education for Adults course can offer you an
equivalent secondary college qualification with pathways to VCAL, VET,
employment or self achievement. The course covers units in literacy,
numeracy, computing and employment skills taught on a part time basis.
Suitable for adults or youth over the school leaving age (16 to 55 years).

Why not join our friendly, supportive group to receive training, connect
with your community, make a meaningful contribution and become a valued team
member.
Develop your own
personal skills by helping others. Facilitator led training will focus on
understanding the valuable role of the volunteer within an organisation and
developing skills in team-work, communication, goal setting, time
management, creative thinking and problem solving. The program gives
participants the opportunity of gaining increased confidence and developing
leadership skills by working on projects as part of a team.
